Welcome to the Dragon's Lair

Cultivating Geography

Black Lance, besides allowing players to participate in events, also allows them to create them. The unique usage of PhinnCorp Ltd Production's SERPENT SDK brings a whole new level of Online Gaming. Players now have the ability to create custom campaign's and quests - with a fully featured, easy to use interface that allows you to interact directly with the engine and make your own *.blq [Black Lance Quest] files. (Pronounced BLOCK).

Some features included in the Serpent SDK are:

  • MapGen - Create custom Maps/Areas using nearly 1,000 different tiles. Includes support for custom tile templates.
  • LinkIt - Combine maps to create the entire campaign settings. You can use nearly 1000 maps, placed in 10,000 different slots.
  • Scripter - Create dialog conversations and events
  • Event Driven - Cause up to 6 different forms of events to occur upon scores of variables - such as doors opening with switches, teleporting, or activating a dialog conversation.
  • BLQ Compiler - Compile your project into a usable BLQ [Black Lance Quest] file.
  • Breeding Pit - Create custom creature templates to forge the perfect difficulty for your quests. Tweak existing creatures, or create entirely new ones.
  • Battle Axe/Dragon's Fire Prototype Gaming Engines - Dynamically test your creations using standalone engines built custom for Black Lance.
After creating your own Black Lance Quest, you can send it to any other player, or upload to Black Lance's webpage for download. Once players have the BLQ file, they can play the quest with any other player who also has it.
